As a mound of sand covers him, the surfboard is up against the rock, giving the mound appearance of the grave. Jerry walks onto the "grave" and drops a flower onto it. He takes off his hat as a salute but grabbed by Tom, who spits out the flower. The sand comes off in Tom's head and it's shown a red starfish was grabbed a hold of it.

After realizing this, he pulls him off with his hands, but ends up getting him stuck on his head again. After that, Jerry whispers a plan in Tom's ear. As the starfish protests, Tom carries it out anyway: Running the headfirst into a big rock. The starfish is still here, and just as Tom cries and points to the rock and his head, a bump forms, causing the impact to push the starfish off.
Tom takes one last look at the starfish and leaps excitedly, until he joy doesn't last for too long when he sees the Jerry was taken his surfboard and becomes annoyed. As Jerry does a sombrero dance with the hat, puts the hat back on and poses, Tom takes the surfboard and waves at the mouse. Jerry flies through the air and lands into a coconut tree. Jerry gets his head lodged in a coconut and acts like a monkey before stumbles around the beach. Tom paddles away, but soon encounters the shark yet again, jumping off his surfboard and swimming to shore, causing the board to fly into the shark's mouth. As Tom laughs himself silly, the shark expels the board and ends up throwing it into Tom's mouth when he's never laughing. The shark laughs hysterically as Tom's swallowed with his surfboard and departs. Then Tom is used as a surfboard by Jerry, as he shrugs and decides to enjoy surfing.
